OC Register: "Will San Clemente be O.C.'s next Habitat for Humanity community?"

Habitat for Humanity has a concept to bring an affordable-housing project to San Clemente. The city says it would occupy four lots at 130, 132, 140 and 142 Avenida Rosa. That’s near a senior center and fire station under construction.
Habitat for Humanity of Orange County has provided 169 low-cost homes in 14 cities countywide for needy people willing to help build them or otherwise contribute to the cause.
San Clemente planning commissioners will have a one-hour study session about the Habitat concept at 6 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall, 100 Avenida Presidio. The public is invited.
