The 3rd Annual Henry T. Nicholas, III UC Challenge Cup Regatta was held in Newport Beach, California. Schools included UC Irvine, UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, and UC Davis.
9TH ANNUAL NAC GRADUATION
This past Saturday, June 3, 2017 we celebrated the accomplishments of our senior class, a total of 171 NAC scholars! 100% of whom have enrolled and will be attending college this fall! #nacgrad2017 Enjoy!
6TH ANNUAL NAC GRADUATION
On Saturday, June 7, the NAC celebrated the graduation of 124 seniors at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina in Newport Beach! 2014 marks the 6th year that we have celebrated the accomplishments of the Nicholas Academic Centers' graduates, who maintain a 94 percent college-retention rate when attending four-year private institutions, compared with the national average of 77 percent.
"KEYS TO THE CITY" OF SANTA ANA AWARDS CEREMONY
On July 2, City of Santa Ana Mayor Miguel A. Pulido presented Nicholas Academic Centers (NAC) Co-Founders Jack K. Mandel and Dr. Henry T. Nicholas, III, PH.D., with Keys to the City of Santa Ana. Mayor Miguel Pulido recognized Dr. Nicholas and Judge Mandel for their outstanding contributions to the community. The recent ceremony marks the first time in ten years that the city has given the award.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY DEDICATION CEREMONY
The Henry T. Nicholas III Foundation presented the ‘Gordon's House' keys to the Martinez-Moran familyduring a Habitat for Humanity dedication ceremony Jan. 16th in Westminster, Ca.
CHAPMAN VISITING SCHOLAR SERIES
The Nicholas Academic Centers hosted the second in its ”2010 Visiting Scholar Series” of lectures by Chapman University professors. Mildred Lewis, Assistant Professor of Film and Media Arts, delivered a lectured titled, “Downloaded, YouTube’d, 3-D’d, and Flickr’d: Media Aesthetics in a Multiplatform Digital World.” Assistant Professor of Physics, Dr. Hesham El-Askary, spoke about “Hazards, Global Change and Satellite Technology.”
OAKLAND MILITARY INSTITUTE, FEB 23, 2011, ANNUAL LUNCHEON
Dr. Nicholas was a guest on Feb. 23 at the annual luncheon for supporters of the Oakland Military Institute, a 6th-12th grade charter school established by California Gov. Jerry Brown when he was Mayor of Oakland.
